Portfolio or no portfolio?
We don’t make them in my education program, but since I’m applying out of state I’m wondering if I should have a little something extra to show them who I am as a teacher? I have a 60 page unit plan and several observations forms. What do you include in one?

I just finished it today, and I have to say I’m disappointed. For two main reasons.  Why did Katniss turn into Bella Swan? I realize she has been through a lot, and I would be okay with a few human moments of panic and grief, but she sulks for the entire book. She’s negative. She gives up and considers suicide.  Katniss is supposed to be a heroine.  She shouldn’t be whining...

We are Just Getting Started...: First-Year Advice →
firstclassroom: When I started grad school to earn my teaching certificate, one of the first things we had to do was spend a few hours observing in a classroom. After those few hours, we were supposed to teach a short lesson. This was before learning any strategies that would help us. My attempt at teaching that… My students will not win, so help me God.
