I need spring break
Me: Ok guys, so a lot of people keep messing up on parallelograms. The formula for their area is BASE TIMES HEIGHT. Not one half base times height. That's for triangles. Do you see this up here. This is a parallelogram. This is a triangle. Do not take half on the area of a parallelogram. We went through this, I showed you where the formula comes from. Don't do it. You did it on the quiz. Don't do it on the test tomorrow.
Me: Alright, now lets do this example. Base is 11.1, height is 8. Multiply those and we get 88.8. Does everyone see where I got that?
Class: *nodding*
Student: Ms. H!
Me: Yes?
Student: You forgot to divide by 2.
